About Circle Agent Stack
The Circle Agent Stack is a new suite of financial infrastructure tools launched by Circle, the company behind the USDC stablecoin, designed to enable AI agents to act as autonomous economic actors. It allows AI agents to hold wallets and make payments independently using USDC. The stack addresses the need for financial systems built for machine-speed, cost-efficiency, and global availability, which traditional financial infrastructure, designed for manual human processes, cannot adequately provide. The Circle Agent Stack includes several core components: Circle CLI (Command Line Interface), Agent Wallets (programmable, permissionless, and policy-controlled wallets), Agent Marketplace (directory for discovering and connecting with services), Nanopayments powered by Circle Gateway (gas-free USDC transfers as small as /bin/bash.000001), and Circle Skills. The tools are built on Circle's existing stablecoin infrastructure and operate across supported blockchains.
